Recorded: January 4, 1822

In the name of God Almighty I James Welch of Tyrone Township, Fayette County 
and State of Pennsylvania being weak in Body but of sound and good 
understanding do by these presents make constitute this my last will and 
testament -- (unk word) I bequeath to my lofving wife Susanna all my property 
or the benefit thereof by keeping my five daughters Peggy Nancy Betsy Susanna 
and Matty during her life or widowhood but if my widow Susanna should marry 
during her widowhood the whole of my estate to be sold and equally divided 
among my five daughters above mentioned by my Executors hereinafter 
mentioned.  I do further appoint Hugh Torrance and Thomas Leslie to be my 
Executors of this my last will and Testament and perform all and singular the 
items there in mentioned -- witness my hand and seal this 3d day of June One 
Thousand Eight Hundred and Nineteen.

Before me the Subscriber Register for the Probate of Wills  (unk wd) in and 
for said certify personally cause Joseph Harvey and Joseph H. Torrance the 
signing witnesses to the foregoing last will and Testament and  on their 
soleum oaths did respective declare that the Testator did acknowledge the same 
in their presence to be his last will and Testament where of sound mind that 
they signed the same as witnesses thereto in his presence - that no undue 
influence had been used or later will made by the deceased to thier knowledge 
or belief -- In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal of said 
Office the same day.
