Pa Wills Vol. 1 Book 2 P. 920 Transcribed Wills Written: April 26, 1824 In the Name of God, Amen, I Ephraim Woodruff of German township, Fayette County and State of Pennsylvania, being in good health of Body and of sound and disposing mind and memory (praised be god for the same) and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs whilst I have strength and capacity so to do, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all wills by me at anytime heretofore made and first and principally I commit my soul into the hands of my Creator who gave it, and my body to the Earth, to be interred in the Burying ground of the Methodist meeting house at Germantown at the discretion of my Executors herein after named and as to such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bestowest me I dispose of the same as follows viz. I will that all my just debts as shall be by me owing at my death together with my funeral expenses and all charges touching the proveing of as otherwise concerning this my will shall in the first place out of my personal estate and effects be fully paid and satisfied and from and after the payment thereof and subject thereto then my will is – Item I give and bequeath unto my Dear wife Fanny my dwelling house and farm with all the improved buildings whatsoever does thereto in anywise belong for and during her natural life; she keeping the same in repair and paying the taxes – Item and as respects the household furniture I give also and bequeath to my Dear wife all that to me belongs except what is hereafter excepted it is my desire. That my clock stand as it now does and also the cupboard and stands of curtains and after the decease of my wife aforesaid my farm and all the buildings and improvement s and also the clock and cupboard are then to be given to my Daughter Anne McClelland and her heirs to enjoy the same forever. I give and bequeath my wearing apparel entire to my grandson Ephraim McClelland and it is my will that all the live stock horses, cows, hogs and sheep be left in possession of my wife and for her use and it is my will that she give one cow to Harriet her daughter when she gets married or when her mother thinks she stands in need of one and it is my will that my stock that may remain on my farm at the decease of my wife be given to my daughter Anne McClelland and her children and also at my decease my riding saddle is to given to Ephraim McCleland and as respect the children of my first wife viz. Sarah Ridge Henry Jennings Jonathan Jennings Jacob Jennings Susanna Fordyce they having Received the whole of their fathers estate personally and real therefore my will is that they receive none of my estate either personal or real.
