Brockway, aged 50 years, a descendant of one of the early settlers of Jenks Township, this County, died at Loleta, Elk county, Tuesday Dec 7, 1909. Mr. Brockway had been in poor health since last May, but was able to be around until about three weeks ago, when his health became so poor that he was compelled to give up all outdoor exercise. He is survived by his wife and seven children, also two brothers and two sisters, H.S. Brockway, Esq., of Marienville, Forest county, Newton W. Brockway, of Ten Mile Bottom, Venango Co., Mrs. Louisa Heath of Gilfoyle, and Mrs. Clara A. Dean of Braddock, Pa. The deceased was born in Jenks township, on the farm now owned by Alex Bell, and was a son of the late Aaron and Keziah Brockway, who died some six years ago. He was a steady industrious man, and respected by all who knew him. Funeral services were held at his late home at Loleta, Friday, 2 0’clock p.m. Interment at Rose Cemetery.
