HENRY CLAYTON HAMMOND of Mt. Alto b. in 1868 in Benevola, Maryland.  Son of D.O. 
and Margaret ( Ripple) Hammond. Both parents respected members of the United 
Bretheran Church.  Harry Clayton Hammond is a republican, a Member of the 
Knights of Pythias. in 1900 he m. Mary V. dau of James A. and Dolly (Brooks) 
Watson.  Henry and Mary had four children:  Maude, Jeanette, Rose, and Mabel.
