RANDALL McGINLEY ALEXANDER 1846-1914 R. M. Alexander was born in 1846 at Shirleysburg, Pa., a son of Randall and Sarah (Henderson) Alexander. He read medicine with Dr. Wm. P. McKnight and began the practice of medicine in Fannettsburg about 1870 as successor to Dr. John Campbell. In 1873 he attended lectures at the University of New York. Dr. Alexander was in practice at Fannettsburg until 1911, when he retired and removed to Montana, where he made his home with a son and died there in 1914. His body was brought to Fannettsburg for burial. In 1871 Dr. Alexander married Mary Jane McGaughey of Path Valley. Three of their sons became physicians.
