BENEDICT, M. D. Franklin D. Benedict was born December 23, 1889, in Quincy Township, the son of George D. and Ellen M. (Duffield) Benedict. He received his preliminary education at Quincy High School, the Cumberland Valley State Normal School and at Perkiomen Boys School. He then began the study of medicine and was graduated M. D. in 1914 from the Medical Department of Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Benedict served as intern in the Samaritan Hospital for one year and since has been in general practice of medicine in Philadelphia. He is now Demonstrator of Obstetrics in the Medical Department of Temple University and during the World War served as First Lieutenant for twenty-two months in the Medical Corps, U. S. A. He married in 1922, Margaret Severson and resides in Philadelphia, Pa.
