S. H. C. BIXLER, M. D.

  Dr. Bixler was born in Cumberland County and was a graduate M. D. in 1870 of 
the University of Michigan.  He located in Orrstown about 1870 and after three 
or four years, removed to Bloserville, Cumberland County, where he practiced 
medicine for ten or twelve years and then moved to Greencastle, Pa., where he 
died some years later.

  Dr. Bixler, in his later years, was more interested in the manufacture and 
sale of proprietary medicines than he was in the regular practice of medicine.
