JOHN L. BLAIR, M. D.

  J. L. Blair was born several miles south of Mercersburg in what is locally 
known as Blair's Valley.  He was a son of James Blair and a graduate of the 
University of Maryland, Class of 1868.  Dr. Blair practiced medicine in Illinois 
until 1876 when he located in Mercersburg and was in practice in this town for 
about thirty years until his death.  Dr. Blair died in Mercersburg.
