DR. JOHN WESLEY BROWN

  Dr. Brown practiced medicine in Greenvillage and vicinity before 1840.  When 
he came or how long he remained is not now known.  The only definite record is 
that in 1837 he attended a maternity case and the baby was named John Wesley and 
lived until about fifteen years ago.

  Dr. Brown lived in a rough cast house that stood until about 1900 upon the 
southern corner of a property now owned by Matilda Hawk heirs.
