HENRY KUNTZ BYERS, M. D.
1818-1890

  Henry K. Byers was born in 1818 in Fayetteville, the son of Castle and Mary 
(Kuntz) Byers.  He was educated in the common schools and studied medicine with 
Dr. D. S. McGowan at Fayetteville.  After attending lectures at the Washington 
Medical College, Baltimore, Md., he was graduated M. D. in 1845.

  Dr. Byers located at once in Fayetteville and practiced medicine in this 
village and vicinity continuously until his death in 1890.

  He married first, Eleanor J. Thompson, and second, Ann Jane Crawford.
