D. L. BYRNE Dr. Byrne (also spelled Bryan) came from Philadelphia a young man and succeeded Dr. Rankin at Campbellstown. He was in Campbellstown in 1822 and most likely a year earlier. He is spoken of as a fine gentleman in manners and dress. Dr. Byrne was a member of the Medical Society in 1825 and was physician to the Almshouse in 1833. He returned to Philadelphia, but the exact time he left St. Thomas is not now known.
