KATHERINE M. CRAWFORD, M. D.

1856 - 1903

  Katherine M. Crawford was born August 28, 1856, in Guilford Township, the 
daughter of Frederick B. and Maria (Markley) Crawford.  She read medicine with 
Dr. Benjamin Bowman in Chambersburg, Pa., and received her degree M. D., 1882, 
from Hahneman Medical College, Chicago, Ill.

  Dr. Crawford practiced medicine in Chambersburg from 1882 until 1901.  During 
this time she was for fifteen years in partnership with Dr. Julia T. Hill.  In 
1901 Dr. Crawford removed to York, Pa., and died there in 1903.

  She was never a member of the Medical Society.
