CUSTER, M. D. C. C. Custer was born January 2, 1886, at Stoystown, Pa., a son of John H. and Mary (Sachs) Custer. He had his preliminary education at Franklin and Marshall Academy, Lancaster, Pa., and was graduated M. D. Cum Laude 1909 by the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Dr. Custer was in private practice at Ralphton, Pa., 1909-1912 and at Johnstown 1912-1919. In 1919 he received an appointment with the Pennsylvania State Board of Health and served 1919 to 1922 at Cresson Sanatorium and since 1922 at the South Mountain Sanatorium, Mont Alto, Pa. Dr. Custer was a member of the Somerset County and the Cambria County Medical Societies from 1910 to 1924 and since 1924 has been a member of the Medical Society of Franklin County. He is a member of the National Tuberculosis Association and the Phi-Chi Medical Fraternity. Dr. Custer is a Republican in politics and a member of the Reformed Church. He married in 1909 Marion M. Kantner.
