JOHN N. DUNCAN 1799-1859 Dr. Duncan was a practicing physician in Greenvillage and vicinity for a number of years prior to 1840. Tradition speaks of him as "Old Doctor Duncan." He lived and had his office in the house across the street from the one later occupied for many years by Dr. Charles T. Maclay and still known as the Maclay property. About 1840 Dr. Duncan removed to Shippensburg, where he was in practice until 1850 when he located in Chambersburg and practiced medicine until his death in May, 1859. His remains lie in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
