FERGUSON 1855-1929 W. N. Ferguson was born August 31, 1855, at Dry Run, a son of James and Mary Ann (Doyle) Ferguson. After his graduation from Mercersburg College, he began the study of medicine, graduating M. D., 1879, from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Ferguson served as intern in the House of Correction, Philadelphia, Pa., for one year and then located in general practice in Philadelphia, Pa., and so continued until his death January 9, 1929. Dr. Ferguson was a member of the Philadelphia County Medical Society, the Medical Club of Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Scotch Irish Society. He was a Presbyterian by birth and a Democrat in politics. He married 1882 Miss Annie Kitchener of Philadelphia.
