ARTHUR BOWLES FLEMMING, M. D.

  A. B. Flemming was born in 1875 at Welsh Run, a son of Rev. Joseph Flemming, 
who then was pastor of the Presbyterian Church at that place.  Dr. Flemming 
studied pharmacy with the Miller Pharmacy in Chambersburg and was a graduate 
pharmacist before he began the study of medicine.  He graduated M. D. in 1902 
from the Medico Chirurgical College, Philadelphia, Pa., and in 1904 located at 
Tamaqua, Pa., where he since has been in active practice.  He is now and for 
some years has been Secretary of the Schuylkill County Medical Society.
