FLICKINGER, M. D. 1819-1884 John H. Flickinger was born in 1819 in Path Valley, the son of Henry and Elizabeth (Snively) Flickinger, and a grandson of John Flickinger who settled in Path Valley in 1789. J. H. Flickinger studied medicine and was graduated M. D. in 1850 from Pennsylvania Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Flickinger was first located in Huntingdon County and after some years practice in that county, removed to Dry Run, this county, and for many years until his death was a leading practitioner in the upper end of Path Valley. Dr. Flickinger signed the Call in 1868 and later became a member of the Medical Society and was a vice-president in 1872.
