FRITZ, M. D. 1854-1915 Horace M. Fritz was born in 1854 in Berks County, Pa. He attended the common schools and had a course in business at Pottstown. He then attended the Kutztown State Normal School. Deciding to study medicine, he entered the office of Dr. J. B. Rhoads, and after the usual course was graduated M. D. in 1879 from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Fritz located at once at Quincy, Pa., and was in active practice in this neighborhood until the time of his death in 1915. He was admitted into the Medical Society in 1884 and was President in 1889. He married in 1881 Clara A. Stouffer. Dr. Fritz was a member of the Lutheran Church and a progressive citizen.
