MICHAEL MARCUS GERRY, M. D.
1823-1887

  Dr. Gerry was born in Baltimore in 1823 and was graduated M. D. in 1846 from 
the University of Maryland.  He had practiced medicine at several places in 
Maryland and Virginia previous to his locating at Sylvan, Pa., in 1860.

  Dr. Gerry was in active and successful practice at Sylvan from 1860 to the 
time of his death in 1887.  In 1868 he signed the Call for a convention of 
physicians to organize the present Medical Society and later was for a time a 
member of the Medical Society.
