ANDREW HETICH Andrew Hetich was a native of Franklin County, the son of Thomas and Catherine (Rudesill) Hetich and was a brother of Eliza Hetich who married Dr. Nicholas B. Lane. Thomas Hetich was a prominent citizen of Chambersburg and proprietor of the "Green Tree Hotel" which stood on the west side of the Diamond. Dr. Andrew Hetich married in 1837 Amelia Flanagan, daughter of "Squire Flanagan" of Waynesboro. Dr. Hetich practiced medicine in Waynesboro for a time, probably before his marriage; certainly for a few years afterward. He then removed to Bucyrus, Ohio, and followed the profession in that place until his death about the time of the Civil War. It was with this Dr. Andrew Hetich at Bucyrus, Ohio, that Dr. Samuel G. Lane spent the first several years of his professional life from 1849 to 1852.
