ALONZA UPPERMAN HOLLAND 1839-1906 A. U. Holland was born in 1839 in Baltimore, Md., the son of William L. and Margaret (Upperman) Holland. He attended Fayetteville Academy and read medicine with Dr. Barrick in Maryland and later was a student of Dr. A. H. Senseny in Chambersburg. He attended lectures at a medical college in Philadelphia, the University of Pennsylvania, and located at Fayetteville in 1871, where he practiced medicine until his death in 1906. Dr. W. E. Holland is a son.
