D. W. E. Holland was born in 1870 in Fayetteville, Pa., the son of Dr. A. U. Holland. He attended the rural schools and the Chambersburg Academy. Dr. Holland attended lectures for a time at the Medical Department of Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He was graduated M. D., in 1891, from Medico Chirurgical College, Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Holland has practiced medicine continuously at Fayetteville since his graduation. He was admitted into the Medical Society in 1915 and was President in 1921. He is the present physician to the County Home and is a member of the Chambersburg Hospital Staff, and since 1923 has had charge of the State G. U. Clinic held weekly at the Hospital. Dr. Holland is a School Director in Greene Township and at present is President of the Board. He married first, Rose Byers of Chambersburg, and second, Frankinetta Schaal of Chambersburg.
