BENJAMIN ANDREW HOOVER, M. D.

  Benjamin A. Hoover was born in 1873 near Upper Strasburg, the son of Abram W. 
and Elizabeth Ann (Rohrer) Hoover.  After attending the common schools and 
select schools he was a teacher for several years in Letterkenny Township.  He 
then studied medicine and was graduated M. D. in 1901 from Medico Chirurgical 
College, Philadelphia, Pa.

  After graduation Dr. Hoover was in practice at Upper Strasburg for two years.  
In 1903 he located at Wrightsville, York County, where he has been in active and 
continuous practice.

  Dr. Hoover was admitted into the Medical Society in 1903 and was a member for 
a year or two.  He married in 1903, Margaret Shoemaker of Upper Strasburg.
