GILMORE JONES, M. D. E. G. Jones was born in Path Valley, the son of James Jones who was a son of John A. Jones, one of the pioneer settlers in Metal Township. Dr. Jones attended the Shippensburg State Normal School and then read medicine with Dr. Thomas J. Dunott at Harrisburg and was graduated M. D. in 1884 from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. After graduation he located at Hustontown, Fulton County, for two years and removed to Dry Run in 1886, where he was in practice for some years, probably ten, and then removed to the western part of the state and died near Pittsburgh. He was admitted into the Medical Society in 1895 and was a member for a few years. Dr. Jones married Jennetta Skinner of Dry Run.
