KINTER, M. D. J. H. Kinter was born in 1880 at Millerstown, Pa., a son of John and Ann Elizabeth (Smith) Kinter. He received his education in the public schools and attended Lafayette College, Easton, Pa. Dr. Kinter studied medicine with Dr. R. W. Ramsey in Chambersburg and was graduated M. D. in 1907 from the Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. He then served successively as resident physician at Mont Alto Sanitorium, Germantown, Bryn Mawr and Polyclinic Hospitals. Dr. Kinter began the practice of medicine at New Stanton in Westmoreland County, Pa., and in 1910 removed to St. Thomas, this county, and after several years practice in this village, removed to Chambersburg and has since been in active practice here. He has been a member of the Medical Society since 1910 and is a member of the Hospital Staff. He has served two terms as Coroner of the county, and for a number of years has been County Medical Director for Franklin County. He is a Republican in politics and his family always have been staunch Presbyterians. He married Gertrude Blair, a daughter of Dr. George A. Blair.
