D. 1856 - 1890 Dr. Kline was born in 1856 in South Main Street, Chambersburg, Pa., in a house that stood on the site of the present Thaddeus Stevens School building. He received his preliminary education in the schools of his native town and then began the study of medicine, taking his degree M. D. in 1882 from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. The same year he located in Chambersburg and practiced medicine here continuously until his death in February, 1890, aged thirty-four years. His wife was Miss Martha J. Addams of Chambersburg. They were members of the Catholic Church. Dr. Kline was never a member of the Medical Society.
