DANIEL C. LEBERKNIGHT, M. D.
1843-1888

  Daniel C. Leberknight was born in 1843 in Hamilton Township, this county, the 
son of Daniel and Susan (Kuhn-Reymer) Leberknight, and was a brother of Dr. A. 
K. Leberknight of Orrstown.

  He had a common school education and read medicine with his brother, Dr. Fred 
B. Leberknight in Newburg, Cumberland County.  After a course of lectures in 
Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa., he was graduated M. D. in 1880 
from this school.  He located at once at Lemaster, Pa., where he was in the 
practice of medicine until his death in 1888.  He was not a member of the 
Medical Society.
