BRUCE McCREARY, M. D. J. B. McCreary was born in 1870 in Gettysburg, Pa. He was educated at Shippensburg State Normal School, studied medicine with Dr. James B. Marshal in Shippensburg and was graduated M. D., 1892, from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He located at once in Shippensburg and remained here in active practice until 1917, when he entered the World War as 1st Lieutenant in the Medical Corps, serving throughout the war and was honorably discharged with the rank of Major. Shortly after his discharge from the army, Dr. McCreary was appointed to a position with the Pennsylvania Health Department and has continued in this work. At present Dr. McCreary is Deputy Secretary of Health of Pennsylvania. Dr. McCreary was for a time in 1917 affiliated with the Medical Society of Franklin County. He married Miss Mary Harper of Shippensburg, Pa.
