D. 1838-1916 Victor D. Miller was born March 6, 1838, near Williamsport, Md., the son of Albertus A. and Harriet (Davis) Miller. He attended Pennsylvania College, Gettysburg, and then studied medicine with Dr. Charles Michaels in Greencastle, Pa. After the usual course of study he was graduated M. D. in 1861 from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Miller served during the Civil War as Assistant Surgeon of the 78th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. In 1865 Dr. Miller located at Mason and Dixon, Pa., where he continuously engaged in the general practice of medicine until the time of his death in 1916. He was a member of the Washington County (Md.) Medical Society. In 1866 he married Alice Jane Rench of Washington County, Md. Three sons of Dr. and Mrs. Miller became physicians.
