ELIAB NEGLEY, M. D.
1820-1879

  Dr. Negley was the Corresponding Secretary of the Medical Society in 1854 and 
a charter member in 1869.  He practiced medicine for a time in Mercersburg in 
early life and then removed to Illinois, where he was in practice until 1860 
when he returned to Mercersburg and followed his profession until the time of 
his death in 1879.
