D. Charles C. Ogle was born November 26, 1871, in Shippensburg, Pa., a son of Reuben C. and Mary (Baker) Ogle. He had his preliminary education in the Public Schools of his native town and at the Cumberland Valley State Normal School graduating with the class of 1893, and taking his M. E. two years later. He then taught in the rural schools for two years before beginning the study of medicine with Dr. S. G. A. Brown in Shippensburg, Pa. He was graduated from the Hahneman Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa., M. D. with the class of 1905, and for three years was Class President. Dr. Ogle served an Internship in the Hahneman Hospital and was in private practice for a time in Philadelphia before locating in Chambersburg in 1906, where he since has been in continuous practice. Dr. Ogle was for some years a member of the Medical Society. He is a member of the Chambersburg Hospital Staff, and for six years had charge of the X-Ray department of the Hospital. He is a member of the State Homoeopathic Medical Society. He is a Democrat politically and a member of the Lutheran Church and of the Masonic Fraternity. He married Miss Ethel Dawn Smiley of Shippensburg. Dr. Ogle occupies the home and offices owned and occupied by Dr. Abram H. Senseny at the time of his death.
