HENRY PRICE Dr. Price was a non-graduate physician born near Five Forks, his father being a minister in the German Baptist denomination (Old Order of Dunkards). Dr. Price first began the practice of medicine at St. Thomas and while here married Mary Ann Grossman of the vicinity of Marion. He then located about one mile north of Marion, living in the stone house that stands a short distance west of the White Church. Dr. Price practiced medicine in this neighborhood for some years, and then removed, about 1860, to New Franklin and was the first physician to locate in this village. He lived and had his office in the brick house that stands at the cross-roads in the northern end of the village. This was owned and occupied by Mr. Joshua Kennedy, now deceased. In 1864 Dr. Price removed to Indiana and died in that state some years later.
