BURKHART RYDER, M. D. Anna L. Burkhart was born 1863 in Chambersburg a daughter of Christian Burkhart, who for years was a successful business man in Chambersburg. She was educated in the schools of her native town and then studied medicine taking her degree M. D., in 1893, from the Hahneman Medical College, Chicago, Ill. Dr. Burkhart located at once in Milwaukee, Wis., and remained there one year. She then returned to Chambersburg and for several years was engaged in business with her father. In 1899 Dr. Burkhart had a Post Graduate Course at the Polyclinic Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa., and then began the practice of medicine in Chambersburg and has so continued to the present. Dr. Burkhart married Daniel Ryder, D. V. S., who for a number of years was a successful veterinary surgeon in Chambersburg and vicinity. Dr. Anna L. B. Ryder is a member of the Medical Society and of the Chambersburg Hospital Staff. By faith she is Episcopalian.
