(Grove) Seibert. He received his education in the public schools of the town and attended the Chambersburg Academy. He then entered the office of Dr. J. C. Richards as a student of medicine and attended lectures at the Jefferson Medical College, graduating M. D., in 1875, from this institution. Dr. Seibert located at once in Chambersburg and practiced medicine here continuously until his death in 1908. In 1876 he established here the Franklin Vaccine Farm and supplied virus to the profession and was well known over the country in this line. He was a member of the Medical Society and of the Chambersburg Hospital Staff, physician to the Franklin County Jail 1877 to 1880, physician to Almshouse 1883 to 1890, Health Officer for Chambersburg for a number of years, and for eighteen consecutive years he was a member of the School Board. Dr. Seibert was an ardent Republican, a member of First Lutheran Church and a member of its official board for many years. He married, in 1879, Marian Welsh of Philadelphia.
