SHOWER, M. D. E. G. Shower was born in Carrol County, Maryland, a son of Adam and Mary A. (Geiger) Shower and a grandson of Rev. Jacob Geiger. He was a graduate M. D. in 1878, Hahneman Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Shower located in Waynesboro immediately after graduation and was the first Homeopathic physician to locate in this town. He was a man of ability and commanded a good practice while in Waynesboro. In 1888 he removed from the county and has been dead for some years. He had two brothers, physicians -- George T. Shower and John A. Shower, both of York, Pa.
