DR. GEORGE SMITH

  Dr. George Smith was a physician and practiced his profession at Greenvillage 
and vicinity for five or six years prior to and during the Civil War.  He was a 
brother to Dr. Annie Smith who was in practice at St. Thomas for about twenty 
years.  Dr. George Smith removed from the County about the close of the Civil 
War.  He was a native of Adams County.  His wife's family name was Van Lear.
