D. A. F. Snively was born in 1878 in Guilford Township, the son of John Keefer and Urilla Barbara (Hade) Snively, and a nephew of Dr. I. N. Snively, Waynesboro. He received his education at the Chambersburg Academy, graduating in 1899. He read medicine with an uncle, Dr. A. J. Snively in Hanover, Pa., and after the usual course was graduated M. D. in 1903 from the Medico Chirurgical College, Philadelphia, Pa. He was then for one year a resident physician in the Samaritan Hospital and has since been in active practice in Philadelphia. Dr. Snively served on draft board No. 48 during the World War. In politics he is a Republican and by faith a Methodist. He married in 1906, Bennetta Warren.
