ANDREW JACKSON SNIVELY, M. D.
1844-1890

  A. J. Snively was born in 1844 in Guilford Township, the son of John and 
Catherine (Keefer) Snively and was a brother of Dr. I. N. Snively of Waynesboro, 
Pa.  He attended the Bellevue Hospital Medical College, New York City, and was 
graduated M. D. in 1866 from this institution.

  He began the practice of medicine at Hanover, Pa., and continued in active and 
successful practice in this place during his lifetime.

  He married in 1875, Mary Elizabeth Gett.
