D. R. D. Snively was born April 20, 1872, in Waynesboro, the son of Dr. Isaac Newton and Alice S. (Barr) Snively. He attended the Waynesboro grade schools and Maryland Academy, Hagerstown, 1889-1890. Dr. Snively took a pre-medical course in 1892 at the University of Pennsylvania and was graduated M. D. 1895 from the Medico Chirurgical College. He began the practice of medicine in Hanover, remaining one year, then for one year was an interne in Medico Chirurgical Hospital, and was for one year in partnership with his father in Waynesboro. He then located in Philadelphia, Pa., and has been in active practice in this city to the present. From 1898 to 1908 he was instructor in Orthopedics in his Alma Mater and during the World War was Chief Examiner for the 38th Ward Draft Board. Dr. Snively is a member of various medical societies and a member of the Staff of the National Stomach Hospital, Philadelphia. In 1896 he married Edna M. Kirk of Mifflintown, Pa.
