DR. SONDEREGGER

In 1840 a three story brick building known as the Crawford building stood on the 
corner of the Diamond and E. Market Street.  A small building stood next to the 
south between the Crawford building and the Mansion House, where the Farmers & 
Merchants Trust Co. building now stands.

J. M. Cooper in his "Recollections of Chambersburg," 1900, at Page 17, says:  
"There were various occupants of this small room from fifty to sixty years ago, 
among their number being a quaint old German physician, Dr. Sonderegger."
