D. Dr. Strickler was born in 1859 on the Strickler homestead, about two miles east of Chambersburg, a son of Jacob and Anna (Stouffer) Strickler. He was educated in the schools of the County, studied medicine with Dr. Benjamin Bowman and was graduated M. D., 1881, from Hahneman Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Strickler practiced medicine in Chambersburg and vicinity until 1883, when he removed to Duluth, Minn. Sometime later he was appointed to a professorship in the Minnesota State College at St. Paul and removed to that city. In 1895 he removed to Denver, Colo., and limited his practice to eye, ear, nose and throat work, and a few years later became a member of the faculty of the Denver Homoeopathic Medical College. Dr. Strickler married first Susan Shirk and second, Gertrude Olmstead. He now resides in Denver, Colorado.
