D. 1885-1927 S. B. Brown was born in 1885 in the vicinity of Waynesboro, Pa., a son of Daniel E. and Mary M. (Brown) Thomas. He attended Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa., and was graduated M. D. in 1911 from this institution. Dr. Thomas registered in the county in 1912 and since has been in the general practice of medicine in Waynesboro. He has been a member of the Medical Society since 1913 and is a member of the Waynesboro Hospital Staff. Dr. Thomas enlisted in the Medical Service of the Regular Army February 15, 1918, and was discharged June 16, 1919. He served as 1st Lieutenant in the Army Medical School, Washington, D. C., and at Camp Meigs in the Ordinance Department. He died in a Baltimore Hospital August 5, 1927, from ether pneumonia following an operation for gall stones.
