WILLIAM J. THOMPSON Dr. Thompson was a physician and practiced his profession at Roxbury. He was the first physician of record to locate in this village. Two persons now living, both of whom were born in Roxbury in 1845, agree that Dr. Thompson was in practice there in 1852 and 1853. He was then an elderly man, suffering to a marked degree with Paralysis Agitans. There is now in existence an old day book which indicates that Dr. Thompson was living in Roxbury and buying provisions in 1832. How long Dr. Thompson practiced medicine at Roxbury before 1832 and after 1853 or when he was born, or when he died is not now known.
