D. T. H. Weagley was born October 19, 1861, near Greencastle, Pa., a son of Jeremiah and Ann (Lippy) Weagley. He taught for three years in the rural schools of Antrim Township and then began the study of medicine with Dr. William Grubb in Greencastle. After the usual course of study he was graduated M. D. in 1882 by the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Baltimore, Md. Dr. Weagley located first in Greencastle for a brief time and then removed to Marion, where he since has been in active, successful practice. He is a member of the Medical Society and was President in 1894. He is a member of the Staff of Chambersburg Hospital, a fellow of the American Medical Association, and ex-president of the Cumberland Valley Medical Association, and a member of the Board of Censors of the Fifth Censorial District. He served for some years as Director of Chambersburg Trust Company and has been Vice-President of the Marion Bank continuously since its organization. A Republican in politics and a member of Mt. Pisgah Lodge F. and A. M. of Greencastle. His church affiliation is with Heidelburg Reformed Church, Marion. His wife whom he married in 1896 was Miss Carrie L. Claire of Marion.
