D. G. W. White was born May 3, 1899, at East Waterford, Pa., a son of John Magill and Anna Lila (Marshall) White. After his graduation from the Port Royal, Pa., High School in 1918, he entered the University of Pennsylvania, taking the pre- medical course and following with the regular medical course, graduating M. D. in 1924 from this institution. Dr. White located in Mercersburg, Pa., in September, 1925, where he since has been in general practice. He is a member of the Medical Society and when living in Philadelphia, belonged to Co. No. 8, S. A. T. C. He is a Republican in politics and by faith a Methodist. His wife, whom he married June 4, 1927, was Miss Ida Louise Wineman of Fannettsburg.
