D. W. H. Wishard was born in 1894 at Leitersburg, Md., a son of Dr. Jacob H. Wishard and Mamie Durboraw, his wife. He was educated in Washington County High School and had one year preliminary medical work in Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, Pa. He was graduated M. D. in 1917 from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa., and served an internship of one year in Pittsburgh Hospital. Dr. Wishard was in the World War Service as 1st Lieutenant, Medical Corps, July, 1918, to February, 1920. He is a member of the Washington County (Md.) Medical Society and recently (1927) located in Waynesboro, Pa., and became a member of the Medical Society of Franklin County. The doctor is a Republican in politics and a member of the Reformed Church. Dr. Wishard married June, 1918, Inez B. Hartle.
