D. F. G. Wright was born in 1876 at Bloomington, Ill., but spent most of his boyhood in Virginia. He was educated in the public schools and at Roanoke College, from which school he was graduated A. B. in 1899. After the usual course of study he was graduated M. D. in 1903 from the University of Maryland, and after graduation served as Interne (sic) and Clinical Assistant in the University of Maryland 1903 to 1906 inclusive. Dr. Wright registered in Franklin County in 1908 and practiced medicine in partnership with Dr. Guy P. Asper until 1917. In 1918 he was commissioned First Lieutenant Medical Corps U. S. N. A. and served nine months at Camp Wadsworth, South Carolina. After the war he resumed the individual practice of medicine in Chambersburg and so continued. He is a member of the Medical Society and was President in 1924, and is a member of the Hospital Staff and specializes in general surgery. Dr. Wright married Miss Ida A. Gillis, R. N., who for a time prior to her marriage was Directress of Nurses in the Chambersburg Hospital.
