Donehoo _______________________________________________ Page 288 JOHN BRUCE MORRISON b. December 17, 1887 in Oseola county , Iowa. He was the son of Jacob and Emma (Rufsnyder) Morrison, both natives of Franklin County, PA. After the death of his Father in Iowa, he and his Mother returned to Orrstown and later located in Shippensburg where John graduated from the local High school. In 1920 he purchased the J.K. Etter restuarant in Shippensburg. After a number of years he built the present building which houses the Morrison Hotel and Restaurant. He m. in 1917 to Lulu dau of James W. and Elmira (Smith) Robinson, who are natives of Frederick , Md. They had one son, James. The Morrisons are members of the Reformed Church in Shippensburg. Mr. Morrison is a Republican, a member of the Knights of Pythias, Masons, Odd Fellows, Knights of Malta and Redmen.
