William Campbell of Fannet Township in the County of Franklin and state of Pennsylvania sendeth Greeting: Whereas William Campbell the elder, Father of the above named in his lifetime became lawfully seized in his demesne as of fee of and in two Tracts or parcels of lands, adjoining to each other, situated in the Township and County aforesaid, one whereof containing one hundred and fifty acres and thirty perches and allowances, bounded by Lands of Andrew Campbell, James Wallace, the Tract hereafter described and others, which said Tract was surveyed in pursuance of two applications numbered 761. and 4647. the first dated the 4th of August 1766 and the last dated the 16th of December 1767. both entered in the name of the said William Campbell the Elder. Also one other Tract containing Eighty six acres and allowance adjoining the above described Tract of land of David Elder and others, which tract was surveyed in pursuance of an application No 1080. dated the first day of September 1766. in the name of James Irwin. And whereas the said William Campbell the elder being seized and possessed of the said two Tracts of Land, (together composing his mansion farm) did make his Last Will and Testament in writing, bearing date the fourteenth day of November Anno Domini 1803. duly proven and recorded in the proper Office in and for the County of Franklin; wherein among other things he did give and bequeath the above described premises to his two sons William and Mark, to be equally divided between them, as in and by said will reference thereunto being that will appear NOW KNOW ye that I the said [page 294] William Campbell named in the above recited Will, as well for and in consideration of Natural Love and affection, as of the sum of Six Hundred dollars to me in hand paid by William Campbell Junior, at and before the ensealing & delivery hereof; the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, Have remised, released and forever quit claimed; and by these presents, do remise release and forever quit claim; unto the said William Campbell Junior his heirs and assigns, all my right, title interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever, of in to or out of the above described Tracts of Land and premises being the undivided half part therein (under the said recited will of my Father) which undivided half I had not heretofore released unto my Brother Mark Campbell, under whose heirs the said William Campbell Junior now claims title by purchase, To have and to hold unto the said William Campbell Junior his heirs and assigns forever, all my right and title whatsoever in the undivided half part of said tract of Land so that neither I the said William Campbell, nor my heirs, nor any other person or persons in my name or right may at any time hereafter claim, challenge or demand any estate right or title in or to the lands above described, but they and every of them shall therefrom be forever excluded and debarred by these presents. In Testimony whereof I the said William Campbell have hereunto set my hand and seal the fourth day of June in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight-hundred and thirty-Six.
