Deed Book 10, p. 337 This Indenture made this fourteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fifteen, Between Henry Reges of the Borough of Chambersburg Franklin County in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania & Lena his Wife of the one part and Doctor Abraham Senseny of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said Henry Reges and Lena his Wife for and in consideration of the sum of four thousand Dollars lawful money of the United States to them in hand well and truly paid or secured to be paid(the receipt Reges to Senseny whereof is herby acknowledged) Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Doctor Abraham Senseny, his heirs and assigns forever a certain lot of ground with the improvements and appurtenances thereto belonging known in the General plan of the said Borough by the number one hundred and seventy one, To have and to hold the same unto the said Doctor Abraham Senseny his heirs or assigns clear and free of all encumbrances (except the annual quit rents). In witness whereof the said Henry Reges and his wife have hereto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first within written. Personally appeared before me the subscriber, one of the Justices of the peace in aforesaid County, the within named Henry Reges and Lena his Wife and acknowledged the foregoing Indenture to be their act and Deed and desired that the same might be recorded according to law. She the said Lena being examined by me separate and apart from her husband and made acquainted with the contents of the Same and acknowledged that she did the Same voluntarily of her own free will and accord without any coercion or compulsion of said husband. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal the fourteenth day of January 1815.
